Central Heating Problems

by dlg » Wed Dec 31, 2008 2:39 pm

My central heating header tank is over flowing (not excessively but enough for a constant drip from my overflow pipe). The ball valve is not leaking. The water appears to be returning up the boiler feed pipe at the base of the header tank. Does anyone have any clues as to the fault?

dlg,
If you have an indirect hot water cylinder the most probable cause is that the heating coil in the cylinder has perforated.
