changing storage heaters

i want to remove one of my storage heaters and replace with one of a higher power rating. will this just blow the fuses? can i just put a higher ampage fuse in the fuse box?

Hi, several ??s, what is size of old one "kW? & what is new one to be? Max can only be 3kW on 15/16A fuse/MCB, check nitestor fuse bd, prob already wired with all this rating, this will determine existing cable size & give a clue if any changes reqd. regards
