Changing TRV Valve as Conflicting with Room Thermostat

Post by lucadobe » Mon Nov 02, 2015 3:16 pm

We need to change our radiator valve which is TRV on the rad which is in same room as wall thermostat so we have been advised as theyre conflicting against each other...however what do we put in place of it a manual valve?

Turn TRV to maximum (5 or the highest setting on it), and you have effectively turned it off (giving complete control to the room thermostat). i would recommend this for the simplicity that it offers, and you still have the TRV if you decide to relocate the room thermostat.
