go to any builders yard and get a price. If you looking to buy 80 sheets they should all be eager to help. Go to one for a starter price then play them off against each other. Sometimes the likes of Wicks offer better deals than the yards... which is very annoying for us builder as it means we have to cast our nets for the best price further.good luck.
Start off asking for a price for 30 sheets, then up it to 50 then to 80
I do agree! I have been buiding a house from scratch on a part time basis for five years now and buying materials has been the biggest headache. I went with my plans to a number of merchants and stated that if they looked after me I would get everything from them and non of them were interested. I have an account with B&Q along with others and to be quite honest they nearly always come out the cheapest.
The ironic thing is that any one can walk in there and get the same prices!
Cheers
Go to the DIY Projects section and look under Mixing Concrete. The company ( Builditshop.co.uk ) in there will do you a good deal. Tell them you came from DIY Doctor.
