Cold Mira Sport Electric Shower

by kev32 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:23 pm

I have a Mira Sport Electric Shower which is approx 2 years old.
It has to be turned up to the highest setting to get any sort of warmth in the water. Anything less than full temperature setting makes it to cold to use. This has the result of reducing the flow of the shower to a very poor flow rate.

It is worse in the colder weather.

Can anyone help?

The most likely possibility is one of the heating elements has failed.

Turn the power setting from full hot to its middle setting. Does the water then go stone cold or stay exactly the same.

If the answer to either is yes then the element would seem to be the most logical explanation.

The only way to be sure though is to test the unit with a meter.
