Simply Build It

Hot at the top and not at the bottom indicates poor flow of hot water. Try balancing the system. For help, check the projects section of this site and search for article on how to balance a heating system.

Hi David,

Could be sludge build up,but, I would try balancing the rads first before anything else and bleeding of course (with heating off of course)

If balancing doesn't work, turn off both valves and remove the problem radiator, you will be able to tell by the colour/quality of the water whether or not you have a sludge problem.
