Cold water bath tap.

Postby citroen » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:48 pm

My bath taps are approx. 20 years old.My problem is as follows. The cold water bath tap would only turn about half a turn so I didn't get much water out of it.I called out a plumber who took out the gland, cleaned it and put on new washers. This gave me plenty of water and the tap turned on full. The only problem now is when I turn it off,the tap seems to keep turning after the water has stopped. There doesn't seem to be a point where the tap turns tight.I hope I have explained it o.k. Is there anything I can do to get it the same as the hot water tap which feels tight when I turn it off?
