Cold Water Tank Noisy

by tigmol » Sun Jun 24, 2007 10:39 pm

Hi,

When we flush our toilet, the cold water tank in the loft is very noisy when refilling. It is not as loud if it's refilling after a cold tap has been on.
It is so loud after flushing the loo that you need to turn the tv up to hear it for a couple of minutes! Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi there I am a young plumber this is a easy fix you need to is change the seating gland which is a plastic cone shape by striping down the valve and change it or buy a new equiliblbrium float valve just replacing it for a new one which diydoctor has information how to replace the float valve or if you want modern cistern tank for cold water you can buy byelaw 30 kit from diy stores which would help.
