I have to run tap for a while, with taps being turned on slightly for any hot water, I'll get hot water for a minute or two then cold again? We had a plumber in around 6 months back now and he has taken out the cold water storage tank in the loft now we dont have one is this right can you have a system with out one?

many thanks to anyone who can help

Hi Jay,

You're problem sounds like the diverter valve on a combi. When a combi is fitted the copper cylinder and tanks in the loft are removed usually.

Get your plumber back!
