Combi boiler

Post by roddymcdowall » Fri Nov 13, 2009 11:36 am

I have an Ideal Mexico combi biler adn I need to replace a Honeywell actuator and would also like to replace a thermostat and the time clock.

please could you advise how difficult it is to replace the electrical part of the actuator and whether there are any plumbing implications.

Please advise the best thermostat for me to get to control heating in my three floor home and where to locate it. Please advise which time clock I should purchase that will control hot water heating and central heating.

Thanks for your time.

Replacing the actuator is pretty straight forward, and you can swap one wire at a time.

When it comes to wiring in thermostats or renewing programmers (unless exactly the same as the one you already have) it gets abit more difficult and i'd recommend getting a RGI or electrician to do it.
