Concrete Back Yard Expansion Joints

Postby raycmitchell » Tue Jul 26, 2022 11:12 am

Hey folks, My inlaws have a concrete back yard and it seems that the concrete covering the expansion gaps has started breaking away. I have inspected the gaps and the foam underneath seems fine. What can I use to repair and seal the expansion gaps. Found a product on line that seems to be a flexible sealant but comes in 5 litre tin which is way too much. Phoned builders merchant who said just concrete it over. Any proper advice on how to reseal the floor expansion gaps? Previously they had just been concreted over but I have a gut feel this is not the thing to do. Many thanks in advance, Ray
