Condensation in old flue

Post by Garfunkle » Wed Jan 23, 2013 3:53 pm

Hi everyone,
I have an old gas flue which runs from an old boiler alcove in kitchen up through chimney breast to the stack outside.
How can I prevent condensation accumulating in and running down this flue and onto the kitchen floor ?
Thanks for any suggestions

Garfunkle,
You'll need to cut a hole and ventilate the flue but since it's in a kitchen it may be a regular problem especially in colder weather.
