I need to connect a plastic 110mm drain to an existing brick inspection chamber. Should I break into the chamber directly with the plastic pipe or should I put in a piece of clay pipe to make a good mortar seal then use a PVC coupling between the clay and plastic? As all the existing pipes in the chamber are clay I am concerned about obtaining a good seal with the plastic pipe.
