Getting new conservatory qoutes, is a quality glass roof the better option than the a polycarbonite one to reduce summer heat.[/quote]

If you are unlucky enough to have a conservatory where the sun shines on it, then be aware that it will get too hot to use at times, regardless of the type of roof proposed.
You may not be aware but, you are allowed to have a solid roof over the area close to the building, this will come in handy for any gutter or roof work that may be required in the future.
It will be a god send when the temperature gets over 50C.
You really need to think of a way to provide external shade for the conservatory otherwise it will often be too hot.
