Consumer Unit

Post by neilybhoy » Thu Jul 23, 2009 1:42 pm

I am installing a new consumer unit for a loft conversion which will be connected to the existing CU down stairs. I am changing the main switch on the new CU for a 63A RCD. The RCD I have bought has 4 terminals - on the top it has 1 and N and on the bottom it has 2 and N. Am I correct to say that I connect the new live and neutral to the 1 and N on the top and connect the N on the bottom to the neutral bar in the CU? The 2 on the bottom will be used for the bus bar connections to the MCBs?
