continuing heating/hot water prob.

by bcam » Thu May 24, 2007 9:28 am

Hi all, me again, i managed to install my new pump without draining the system( just quickly took it off and put in new one) i now have hot radiators, a noisy pump and no hot water !!!
I know hot water isn't being pumped to the loft tank so that means there is a load of air right? so i tried to loosen the highest pipe i could get to its above my water tank with a bolt on end cap, but i cant loosen it without thw whole pipe turning in the next join down, so if i kept turning it would just break and flood, is there any other way i can get air out of the sysem ? i've bled all the rads and the boilerbut still water wont get up to the loft!
thanks in advance.
