Controlling an Indirect Cylinder Heated by a Rayburn

by Josswe » Fri Nov 29, 2013 3:11 pm

I have connected a solid fuel fired Rayburn to an indirect cylinder which is has an electric immersion heater. The system works fine with the exception of the fact that when the Rayburn is not hot the immersion is providing a hot flow away from the cylinder in the indirect return. At the moment I am closing the valve on the circuit manually. Is there some magic I can apply to prevent the problem?

HI
Can I suggest that you post a rough diagram of the pipework including the height of the cylinder above the Rayburn, and what valve ?
