Convert two Ceiling Lights Down to one?

by greenandmustard » Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:58 am

Hello,

Can someone tell me how easy it is (or isn't!) to go from two ceiling lights to one? They work on one switch and we have bare floor boards upstairs. How much roughly should I expect to pay someone to do this? I'd do it myself, but I'm not sure how to 'end' the unwanted electrics where light number two is now...

TIA!

Anna

Asking costs / ball park figure on a forum is a bad thing.
The reason is you will always take the lowest figure, but what will you do when sent an invoice for three times as much?

You are always better off getting someone round to see what is involved in not only the job but access to it, parking, waste disposal and of course, labour rate for where ever you are in the country.
