Cooke and Lewis Oven not Heating up

Postby Ajw86 » Wed Oct 09, 2019 9:01 pm

Hi, We have moved into a home which has a three year old Cooke and Lewis single oven. When the knob is turned the fan part of the oven works. When the temperature knob is turned nothing happens and no heat is produced. It has been like this since we moved in, however, last week it randomly started working for two days and now it has gone back to not working. Would this be a thermostat issue? If so, is it worth seeking out a replacement (dont know the model) or just replace the whole oven? Thanks

For that, you would have to check if the thermostat is working or not. Usually, you can find our if a thermostat is working or not by checking the temperature indicator light.

This is the small light on the front of your oven that remains lit until your oven reaches the desired temperature.

If this light does not illuminate at all this may be a sign of a faulty thermostat and sign of a replacement.
