COPING STONES ON WALLS

by lindamckdiy » Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:48 pm

Can someone please help. I have a retaining wall with small coping stones on top of the pillars (roughly about 12inch square). Local kids keep knocking them off and it is driving me crazzzzzy!!! What can I secure these with? Is there any special kind of adhesive that would be a bit stronger? Many thanks.

Go to the project called adhesives used at home and you will see a tube of gripfil adhesive and an applicator gun. Gripfil is an immensly strong construction adhesive and can be squeezed, via the gun, to the top of your post and the stone is then placed on it, wiggled about and pushed down and 24 hours later it should be impossible to remove it ! Its a good idea to slightly dampen the top of the post and the underside of the stone first.
