Correct Size of Shower Pump for Open Vented System and Where to Install it?

Postby Monty13 » Thu May 09, 2019 10:08 pm

Need help to choose a correct shower pump and where to install it to increase pressure in shower unit.
I have an open vent system as per the attached diagram. It is a gravity feed hot and cold system. Just renovated my en-suite and replaced a Mira 88 shower control valve with Bristan Artisan thermostatic valve. I have fitted in an attic an inline micropump on the hotline to the shower head, but the flow is still low, and pumps keeps on cutting out. I have a positive head even though the hot pipe is going up into the attic and down to the en-suite.
