Hi all, I’m in the process of redorating my lounge in my Victorian conversion. I took off the radiators and found for one of them, cracks and for the other, cracks as well as the wall crumbling. Pictures of said walls attached. How should I go about rectifying this DIY? Thanks!
Hi beatrice1711, On second thoughts leave the brackets in place, use a light hammer and tap the plaster starting at the cracks, if it sounds hollow tap harder and break away plaster. Once you reach a firm edge you can then treat the wall with waterproof PVA, let this dry and apply plaster to make good. You might get away with single coat plaster - apply to leave slightly lower than the surrounding area. Let this dry and finish with another coat. Regards S
