Curing a leaky soldered joint.

Is there any way of stopping a drip on a soldered joint other than taking the joint apart and starting again.

If the fitting is on a horizontal piece of pipe then No - is the short answer.

If vertical pipe then you just need to drain the water and reheat, adding a little fresh solder.

If it is horizontal pipe you'll need to cut the pipe to get the water out otherwise you'll never get a good joint.
