Hi, can anybody offer any advise on integral kitchen sinks. Have considered a corian worktop but there pretty expensive to put in a holiday rental. I would much prefer to use an Integral sink, is there companies who will cut the worktop with specialist equipment to fit the sink and oven worktop? Thanks
Hi, Integral or integrated sinks are usually made from the same material as the worktop and the sink is "integrated" into the worktop by joining with adhesive or welded depending on the material. The joints are then ground, sanded and if required polished, so that the sink looks seamless to the worktop as shown on this page. http://sinkadvice.co.uk/integrated-sinks/4594101859
Either way you really need the worktop company to fit the sink. They will need to be a solid surface worktop like Corian, Minerva, quartz or granite unless they are stainless integrated sinks.
