Damp/leak in semi detached house even after covering with paint

by Liverpool2020 » Thu Oct 22, 2020 10:20 pm

So we spotted the stain on the wall and assumed it was condensation so we put antidamp paint on. however we've just noticed the stain above the picture rail so think it might be leak? The wall it is on is in our bedroom as it is the wall that joins with next door. What's the best way to find out where the damp is coming from and how to stop it?

Hi liverpool2020
You really need to have a look above where the stain is - if your party wall extends through the roof this may be where damp is entering.
