Damp proof membrane

by Ed Bed » Sat Jun 23, 2007 6:44 pm

I'm rebuilding part of my garage and need to put a damp course down. At the moment I've left the existing foundations and first layer of bricks in place, up to the point where the original damp course membrane was. Do I simply put fresh mortar down and lay the new membrane on top, and then continue mortaring and brick laying on top of the membrane, or is it more complicated than that?

Take a look at any one of our damp projects and ring the phone number for Property Repair Systems. They give free, no obligation advice and we recommend them. They will tell you what you need to do (if anything) and will also be able to supply you with anything you need to do it with but will certainly not try to sell you anything you don't need
