and whats a supply overcurrent protective device?

Protective device generic term that can refer to allsorts including fuses, RCD, MCB, Overvoltage, Undervoltage, Anti-single phase. For the domestic supply protective device it would be incoming fuse and RCD if fitted. And supply over current protective device is the fuse but in non domestic allsorts could be used which is why the generic term is used in the regulations.
