Dishwasher help needed

by scoobie » Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:28 am

Hi,

I've got a 10 year old Technik that's playing-up.

All the lights are displayed when I switch the machine on, but when I close the door nothing happens.

I've cleaned all the filters including the inlet filter, and checked around the impellor of the pump for any blockages.

I would expect the pump to kick-in when the door shuts but the machine is totally dead. If it wasn't for the fact that all the lights are on I would assume that it wasn't getting any power.

If it's any help there was about an inch of water in the bottom of the machine to start as if it had been interrupted, or the pump had blocked.

Any advice appreciated as I've rung several tradesmen who just are not interested in coming out.

Thanks,

Well I would say people aren't wanting to work on it because it's 10 years old. I would think it has probably reached its replacement point. However, it sounds like the motor won't kick on. I would look a replacing this...if you can find a replacement.
