Dissassemby of modern pillar mixer tap

by jaydeeem » Mon Feb 28, 2011 9:39 am

I have a ceramic disk kitchen pillar mixer tap which is leaking out of the top hole where the lever fits. Inside the top is a thick brass block about 1.5 inches deep in 2 pieces, the top one about 1 inch deep. I need to remove this to get to the capsule with ceramic disc but can see no way of removing it. It has no obvious way of rotating it or prising it upwards. There's nothing to get a grip on at all as far as I can see. I have a picture with the link below. I also don't recall the make of tap.

Can anybody help or point me in the right direction for help please?

Many thanks

Jon
