I would like to use metal skirting (for around the perimeter of mobile homes) as a backsplash in my kitchen. It come is sheets of 28" x 5' for around $12.00, which is much cheaper than the tin tiles recommended for this application in the home improvement stores. The problem is that the finish is much too shiny for my taste. What can I use to distress the look? I have not tried anything yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
