Divorce!!!...if I dont get this new Soil stack branch fitted

by Rodders66 » Sun Apr 06, 2008 6:53 pm

 Please help..

Moved toilet which ends up with the WC waste coming out of the wall 2 feet from the existing Soil stack....no problem... I have the correct new Branch to fit...87degree.

The existing Branch is in the correct position in the stack but has the wrong angle (45degree?) to allow the new waste to have enough fall...so all I have to do is replace the Branch.

Problem is that how do you get enough movement in the stack to allow fitting of the new Branch...the Soil stack is tied into the building with all the other waste pipes....

Any help would be great as my Family are currently using an outside toilet in the garage!!...[/b]

You haven't said if it's cast iron or plastic - i'm assuming with the problems it'll be cast iron.

Easiest way I can think of is to cut the stack and remove from the toilet connection up with plastic. Otherwiase it's gonna be a nightmare trying to get a new joint in and re-clipiing/supporting the cat iron soil pipe.
