Do people read posts in the forum before asking questions ?

Postby htg engineer » Tue Nov 20, 2007 7:03 pm

It seems to be a daily occurance of people asking about how to clear airlocks, balancing systems and 3 port valve / actuator problems amongst other problems.

I may be wrong - but I think that if people were to read the posts in the forum relating to the problems they're having they could sort the problem out without having to wait for replies. Or check ou the project section of DIY DOC.

I don't want to put people off asking as some faults are unique and some people just need confirmation they're heading in the right direction to solving their problems. But it does get a bit frustrating writing the same reply 3 or 4 times a week.

You may agree or disagree, I'd like your views too.

Very true Htg Engineer. I guess it's probably because people want a personal response, but then they would have an answer sooner if they looked.

Considering having a wp document and using cut and paste.

Mind you, it's the first forum I have contributed to that doesn't allow HTML URL's and BBCode - or even smilies!! Why??? Every post moderated???
