Do they still make larger wc pans. (Like the old ones)

Post by collectors » Sun Jul 08, 2012 9:18 am

Hi, we have quite a long run of pipe from the wc to the main drain & would like a loo that will flush with more water. The long run is because there used to be a septic tank on the house & at some time the pipe was diverted to the neighbour’s main drain.
Do they still make the larger capacity wc’s pans & cisterns that will hold more water to enable a better flush.
Normally the pan is matched to the cistern to stop it over flowing the pan encase of a blockage. So I don’t want to just increase the cistern size for extra water.
Any makes would be a help.
The larger cistern could be made up at worst.

Cheers

Chris

collectors,
If you want a more forceful flush and you are not happy with the full flush option supplied on many WCs these days I can only suggest you go for a high level cistern.

Yes,

I would have a browze around DIY store websites etc. see what you can find, plumb centres etc. They are normally very helpful in these places.

Failing that a reclaimation yard may have an old style toilet.
