Do we Have Rising Damp on Internal Walls Between Lounge and Kitchen?

Post by Jazzybeee89 » Thu Apr 23, 2015 1:25 pm

So we bought out house in November 2011 when buying we have the usual survey and nothing came back about damp.
However family said we should also go to dampco and get a free damp evaluation so we did this came back telling us we have rising damp on a internal wall between the lounge and kitchen. There was no visual signs and the cost to sort was to much for us so we planned to sort at a later stage as all the money went into buying our home. However two and half years later we still have not sorted it and there is still no signs of damp no flaking paint no falling paper or marks no feeling of wetness and no damp smells. So I'm left wondering was this just a company trying to make money and our wall is okay :/
And ideas?

Free damp survey, and then they find damp, what a coincidence, don't worry about it.
