I'm renovating my ensuite and the door opens into the room. To create more space I'd like the door to open outwards. However the drawback of this, is that the recess on the outside of door frame is only 30mm. I believe most internal doors are 35mm so it won't sit flush. I don't really want to take the door frame off as the bedroom hasn't been long decorated so don't want to undo all that work!
Hi ianalexander1506. Unless you are in an old property where the door stop is machined as part of the door frame, you should be able to remove the door stop and reposition it to suit the door thickness. Regards S
