Draught proofing patio door

Post by brum_rich » Sat Dec 19, 2009 6:34 am

I need to draught proof a sliding patio door as there are some draughts coming through especially where the two doors meet. Has anybody done this? What is the best product to use?

Patio doors are usually fitted with a smooth Velcro type tape to stop the drafts, over time this wears out and needs to be replaced.
As a stop gap measure (if you don't need to open the door during the winter) then any form of masking tape will do the trick. Be careful with what you use and how long you leave it, as some types of tape have an adhesive that goes hard over time and is the devil to remove.
