Dripping tap

Post by LisaC » Mon Aug 22, 2011 12:59 pm

I've read the DIY Doctor's project on Repairing a Dripping Tap -https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/dripping_tap.htm, but I would like some honest advice on whether it is worth grinding the seat down or, if the taps weren't particularly expensive anyway, if it is better to just replace them? Is the grinding down a long-term solution or a quick fix? The taps are on a bathroom sink.

Many thanks

LisaC,
If you have to buy a re-seating tool then replace the taps, have a look for ones with ceramic disks.
