What is the proper method to re-lay a deteriorating tamac/bitmac drive [it's not asphalt] looks more like 1/4" bitmac. Laid in 1977 when both bungalows it serves were built, and now patchy.

Had offers from residents of local traveller site but not happy how they say the will do it, hence the reason for this posting.
Drive is 53 mt x 3.2mt opening out to very large tarmac frontage to both bungalows, an area which so far not bad just loose stones but no signs of lifting. Subsurface, concrete all over .
