Earthing of Ceiling Light but no Earth for Support Bracket Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

I am changing a ceiling light. Following the manufacturer's instructions, I have terminated the Live, Neutral & Earth. But there is no requirement to Earth the light supporting bracket.
Can you confirm if this is required, as the bracket was Earthed on the original ceiling light
