Edging a Lawn Against a Tarmac Drive

Postby HammeredThumb » Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:01 pm

I have a lawn that is next to a tarmac drive. The lawn is curved and about 2 inches higher than the drive so periodically the edge overgrows the drive so I have to chop it back. Also I've discovered that the lawn is quite shallow with stones about an inch or 2 below the surface.

Can anyone please suggest an inexpensive way of edging the lawn to prevent the overgrowing? Looking at products online they either require the tarmac to be laid after the edging or the products are to expensive for my budget.

I would really appreciate some useful suggestions.
