Electric Combi boilers V the rest!

by Harriet » Sun Sep 14, 2008 2:22 pm

We are currently building a new house which is not close to a mains Gas Supply, we are therefore considering an electric combi boiler.

I know all fuel prices gone through roof but does anyone know whether this type of system is at least viable and how does it compare with the running costs of other types of combi boiler?

The only options you have are Oil, LPG or Electric.

For instalation you will probably find the electric option the cheapest as oil and LPG storage tanks aren't cheap.

This page gives an LPG vs OIl comparison.
