Electric Shower

by segsbury » Mon Oct 06, 2008 6:43 pm

Water is coming out of plastic overflow pipe and not shower head. (just started happening, 2-3 years old).

are you sure its the overflow pipe?

if you have no experience of dealing with this sort of problem then i would strongly have to advise that you call a plumber.

repairs to electric showers is not a job for the uninitiated. to meddle with - too dangerous. a whole load of amperes plus water can equal death.

unless you are 100% certain that you can tackle this then get in a pro.

its prbably the pressure relief.

Normally happens when commissioning the unit if not done properly and is rare to happen again unless you have had the water off at all recently?

As chris says above, electric showers are very dangerous so seek pro advice. You could however try the following:

-turn shower on with the cold water setting selected (not hot water I or II) and the temp setting on 10

-twist the temp setting to 1 and then back to 10 a few times until you get a steady flow out of the head. It will either work or it wont.

Dont blame me if you die in the process however..... if you do I suppose you wont be here to blame me anyway!!
