Post by nova15 » Fri Apr 27, 2007 12:18 pm

Hi everyone..help please !!
My electrics kept tripping the other day..an electrician pin pointed the fault to my dishwasher. He tested the plug with a piece of kit and said " it had a very low resistance to earth" !
Could someone please explain what this means and what can I do to resolve this. Many thanks

The earth resistance is the quality of insulation keeping the wiggly amps inside the wires & away from the people!
If you are in hard water area then element may have corroded, but whatever the reason you will need to find a domestic appliance repair co. locally as parts can be difficult to source even if you know what's needed, regards SPARX
