can anyone tell me what kind of trunking should be used for the wiring of a house. this will then be embedded in the wall and plastered over.
also, if a piece of trunking has been damaged when hacking off plaster does this matter?
Can duct tape be wrapped around the damaged area and then replastered?
Its not trunking you need to use, i'd use either oval conduit or protective channel.
The oval conduit will allow you still to pull cables through the channel will protect the cable when plastering.

Oval tubing is better
All it is for is to protect from the plasterers trowel damaging the cable Oval also helps if a cable has been damaged to pull another cable through without ripping the wall to bits
protective channelling is cheaper and the option id go for particularly if youve got loads to do. As previously stated conduit will allow you to pull/feed cable(s) through it in the future. But what are the chances of that being necessary ?
