External decorating and painting a old property

Postby Ogdawson73 » Mon Jun 12, 2023 2:39 pm

Hi, I'm looking for advice on painting a old property. I've pressure wash the grime off the paint work and although I expected some paint to flake away, lots of it has come off in large pieces. Please see photos. I'll have experience of internal decorating and with normally scrape to sound paint then sand clean skim then sand and paint.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi ogdawson73,
Once the wall has dried out I suggest you use a surface stabiliser before you repaint.
