I am looking at removing the back door to extend the kitchen space, yes there is another back door, to escape from. The house is a no fines and also been externally insulated, due to no cavity.
So i guess i am asking how would i go about this? initially i was thinking breeze block inside and concrete block on the outside under the existing lintel, and insulation between, however no fines houses are like 12-13" deep, blocks are only 4". So whats the best way to fill the huge gap? Blocks on outside, blocks on inside then like 5" of insulation lol?
