Filling Holes in Meter Box Around Wire - Is This ok? Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

I have recently had mice get into my house on a survey of the house the meter box is a possible point of entry. There is wire that comes out of the bottom of the box with enough space around it for a mouse to enter. Is it safe to fill the gap around with a product like 'no more nails'? Will this damage the wire?

Unlikely to damage cable but I would use something like silicon sealant so it can be removed if required.
