Filling old flue opening

Post by verve » Thu May 01, 2008 9:03 am

Hi

I have had an old boiler removed and re-positioned. The old flue opening through a double skin external wall has been left (approx. 125mm diameter) and is open to the outside.

Can anyone tell me please what the best way is to fill the opening?

Many thanks

Bricks, sand and cement. Internally plaster it over afterwards.

Cheers

brick up and plaster internally. either cut out ext brickwork and replace with new complete bricks or brick up slightly below surface, render over and mark into square with straight edge so looks tidy
