Fitting a Metal Curtain Pole into a Recess

Postby Bionic_woman » Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:24 pm

I'm fitting a metal curtain pole into a window recess with a central support bracket. It would be easy but the end brackets on either side are what I cal 'closed' i.e. I can't drop the pole into a nice cup-shaped bracket; they are round and need the pole to go in horizontally.
My problem is how I get the end brackets in line with the central bracket so that the pole is straight and level across the recess.
Any advice?
