I have just moved into a new home that is suffering terribly from condensation in the main bedroom. This is where the previous owners has extended into the loft and there are floor to ceiling sliding doors that collect lots of condensation each night which is damaging the carpet. I have been advised to fit a trickle vent to the window but as the doors slide across each other I am unable to fit it at the top of the window frames. Would it be possible to fit this vertically above the lock mechanism? Any feedback would be a huge help.
Hi diyfirsthome Retrofit of trickle vents in an aluminium sliding door can be difficult. Since you are in a loft fit an extractor linked to a humidity stat and vent through the roof. Regards S
